BDSS-IGERT Welcomes Its Fifth Cohort

The Big Data Social Science IGERT welcomes five new PhD students beginning their two-year IGERT traineeship in Fall 2016 as the fifth cohort: Michele Pistner (Statistics), John Schoeneman (Political Science), Mark Simpson (Geography), Amy Zhang (Statistics), and Rob Zuchowski (Sociology & Demography).

They join six trainees returning for their second year in the program: Matt Denny (Political Science), Carolyn Hultquist (Geography), Ryan McMahon (Political Science), Cassandra McMillan (Sociology & Demography), Sayali Phadke (Statistics) and Ben Sheng (Statistics).

For 2016-17, BDSS-IGERT also welcomes two new affiliate PhD students, both predoctoral fellows of the Quantitative Social Science Initiative (QuaSSI): Mitch Goist (Political Science) and Kevin Reuning (Political Science).
